Andreas Schumann, the young and exciting Weingut Odinstal wine maker and Bernhard Ott from Austria, have been meeting to foster the pure biodynamic wine making methods. They are true stars in the minimalist biodynamic approach to wine making.
With four diverse and distinctive soil compositions, this terroir range defines what Odinstal is all about. Every wine represents the highest level of quality, with yields kept extremely low, at less than 30hl/ha. The grapes are hand harvested very late in the season to ensure physiological ripeness and then are rigorously sorted and selected. Staying in the tradition of the Pfalz style, the wines are dry and elegant. The vineyards have been farmed organically since the early 1990s and DEMETER certified biodynamic since 2006.
